Of Kimble Drive

I have to say it was a bit chilli, however very refreshing!  My daughter and I had some time to kill before picking Peter up so we decided to take a little walk on a trail that we had taken many times before.  With our surprise! we found a new beaver lodge that I don't believe was there last time we visited, this trail

we really enjoy this walking trail as it is only minutes from where we live however I have to say it would be a bit nicer we we wouldn't have to constantly look down to avoid dog poop! My daughter actually gave this trail the nickname dog poop alley...lol

She loves being in the lead!

Odell Park

With the temperatures being +10 degrees outside I decided to go for a little scroll in Odell Park today before work.  Winter sure can be pretty and listing to the little brook was so peaceful.  Tomorrow it is supposed to be -10 what a temperature change, however it should produce some nice icicles, I can’t wait till tomorrow to find some and hopefully take some great pictures of.

The Pond at Odell is just starting to skim over I am sure after tonight it will be even more frozen.

Natures Picture frame loving it!

Love the red berries with the green on the snowy background as much as I do not like winter I have to say it is very pretty.

I was sitting at the brook for a good 40 minutes just listing to the water run, what a relaxing sound, and the birds were adding to the relaxation with the chirping sounds.

This picture was take from down below, figured I try something new.

Empty benches, filled in the summer with many many people now the benches are just snow coverd!

Hurricane Arthur's left overs what a shame

Please don't use the logging roads for dump sites!

Nice evening drive after work, however if you scroll down you will see some not so nice pictures.  People dumping garbage along the old logging roads.  Dumping garbage is forcing a lot of land owners to put up no trespassing signs and gates.

Bags of l eaves question here is why not just dump the leaves and take the bags with you.  The leaves will just bio-grade however not so for the plastic bags.  The broken glass from the window is also a hazard to the wild life.  The city has dumping stations could we all make an effort to use them so we can keep enjoying our little get a ways!

Evening Drive

Another peaceful drive after work, nothing more relaxing!  We originally headed out to one of the beaver ponds that we visited many times however the access has been blocked off.  As we drive on some of these old woods road we are noticing more and more garbage being dumped along and on to the roads.  I have to say it is a shame that people have no longer access to the beautiful locations due to peoples garbage dumping.

Woolastook Park

Woolastook Park is located just minutes off the Trans Canada Highway!  Take Exit 258, and follow Rte 102 South.  Woolastook Park is a great place to take a family hike or for Mountain Biking, there are trees down on the walking trails but one get easily walk around climb over or under.  The trail is about a 4.3 mile loop and is rated as moderate.  I should caution that the trails are somewhat marked however I would recommend taking some trail markers just for precaution.
