Shogomoc Pedestrian suspension Bridge is part of the Trans Canada and
the Sentier NB Trail, it officially opened in October 2011. The Bridge is 265
feet long and the bridge is where the Shogomoc Steam meets the Mactaquac Head
Pond and the route runs along the Rte 102 until reaching Silverwood
The road to the bridge is paved all the way however is slowly deteriorating and ends here
where you can still see the old
bridge submerged due to the flooding of the head pond. There are walking trails all along this location and even offer fire pits and picnic tables. Great way to spend a few hours with the family or just by yourself. Along the way to the bridge you can find several old homesteads even though the homes are no longer there its still a great place to explore especially if you have a metal detector.
