Symthe Bridge Hoyt N.B.

Yesterday was my birthday and we headed out to find the 3 covered bridges in Hoyt NB.  We managed to find the the first bridge with very little difficulty.  We found the Symthe Bridge which was built in 1912.
In 1975 K.C. Irving donated the land around the Smythe Bridge to the community and established the Smythe Bridge Park.

We spent about an hour at the park taking pictures, walking along the shore and my daughter even got some fishing in.  We met a local whos name was Adrian. He told us someone recently caught a 10 pound salmon in this river. (South oromocto) however my daughter wasn’t so fortunate.  She caught a stick.   We started to head out to find our second covered bridge when Adrian informed us about some really nice waterfalls in the area, so from trying to find the other bridges we focused are attention on the waterfalls and we did manage to find one, the  Carrow Brook Falls, what a pretty place that is. I will have a page on my blog
featuring this water fall.

The very pretty flower Trillium can be found in this park
