Big Pokiok Falls

The Big Pokiok Falls are very easy to find.  Take exit 231 coming from Fredericton and turn towards Nackawick.  Turn right after crossing the Pokiok stream.  This road turns to gravel shortly into it, take caution as this is an logging road beware the you may encounter a pulp truck hauling lumber on this road.  Continue on this road  you will pass under the route 2.  Keep driving for roughly 3 km and you will come to a the park sign the road to the left goes to a small parking area near the Hiker's Dream Trail head.   However if you drive pass the sign continuing straight for a small distance you will cross a small bridge just pass the bridge on the right is parking for the Stream side trail there is also a shelter.  The Stream side trail has some very beautiful waterfalls.  All trails are well marked with markers on the trails are picnic tables and camp-sites.  This park is great for fishing, bird watching hiking and we also seen a mink.  \

Clarendon Brook Falls

Latitude/Longitude: N 45° 29.610 / W 066° 27.474

Clarendon Brook Falls is located in Queens county NB and is part of the Clarendon Brook,Back Stream, and South Oromocto River system. The Carendon Brook Falls are easy located along the side of highway 101 in Wirral NB, a small rural community nestled between Hoyt and Welsford NB.  There appears to be a well-travelled path on the left hand side to the bottom of the falls, however at time of this visit it appeared pretty ice and slippery, as I didn't feel like cracking my head open at the bottom of the falls on one of the large boulders so I decided not to wonder down the trail. LOL

Nerepis

Nerepis is a rural community in Kings County, New Brunswick, located on the Nerepis River. About an hour drive from Fredericton and roughly 25 minutes from Saint John .  The small community is surrounded by forest and rivers great for fishing hunting bird watching etc.  We only spend about 40 minutes exploring the area and found many little hidden gems, like a small water fall hiking trail and a beautiful country side.

Millseat Falls

Millseat Falls - August 16,2015

Approximately 5 km from the junction of the Nortondale Road along route 585 from, Woodstock is Millseat Falls. If you take your time you will be able to see the falls from the road and the walk into the falls is extremely easy you can park right along the road.  Walking distance is no more then 5 minutes heading down to the falls base, there is no path however easy to to walk into. The waterfall is on the West Branch Nackawic Stream. If you are coming from Woodstock the falls are located approximately 100 meters before the bridge over the stream.

Winterfesthiver 2016

The Winterfesthiver this year at the Brookside Mall Fredericton NB sure was a huge success!  Even though the temperature outside with the wind chill was -30, the mall offered indoor space with live entertainment, food vendors, artists and much more. Great place to come in from the cold to warm up and take in some of the entertainment which included Perley  the Magician, Scotty and the Stars and the Multicultural Showcase and  much much more!

The outdoor fun included gigantic ice slides, for snow tubing.  There were also great family activities such as snow mazes and horse drawn sleigh rides.  Children could take part in dog sled rides and pony rides.
