Hyla park is located on the north side in the city of
Fredericton. The park is owned by the
city however it is leased out to the Nature Trust. The Nature Trust has leased this property
since 1995 to preserve the gray tree frog.
The Park is about 19 acres and offers a small network of trails for hiking enjoyment The park used to be a gravel pit and an old race track,
however Hyla Park is now the first
Amphibian Park of Canada and has been featured in the pages of the National
Geographic Magazine.
The Park offered nice trails with board walks it was very nice maintained however bug spray is recommended
The Park is also home to six other species of frogs and toads as well as many birds.
Wonder if I could walk my dog there (off leash).
