Patrick Owens Bridge

The Patrick Owens Bridge was built in 1909 and is about 72 meters in length.  The bridge is located in Rusagonis NB.  New Brunswick was once home to about 4000 covered bridges at one time to this date there are only about 60 remaining.  Rusagonis used to be home to 4 but now unfortunately only has one remaining in the community .

The bridge was designed using the Howe Truss design developed by William Howe.  The Howe design is seen in many covered bridges still remaining in New Brunswick to this date.
